Dramas guide attention in choice points. But sometimes, dramas can polarize observations and spin out of control. These tricky mechanics of dramas make dramas a valuable intellectual navigation device, as well as a hotbed for wicked problems.

To illustrate how dramas and wicked problems contribute to each other, I want to use the lean development cycle, and particularly, the choice point of pivot or perseverance, to show how dramas can be both guiding as well as distracting.
